Today, thadada from Mobile Review forum asked me something a bit unusual:
"I have a question, when the phone vibrates, how does it feel? Everything is solid or is everything moving and you hear that its not solid?
i'm not sure if you understand my question, but for example, when a solid phone vibrates on the desk it doesn't "jump" as much.... like the 88xx series, very solid and when it vibrates its a nice vibrate, but sometimes you dont feel it.
How's the vibrate on N82 is it more towards like a 88xx series or...?"
I've never really thought about the vibrator quality of a phone, but the question made me realise that whenever I use my iPhone, I keep missing calls because the vibrator strength is so weak that I can't even feel it.
So, here's a little video I made comaparing the vibrator qualities of the N82, N9508GB, N93, E90, E51, E61i and the Apple iPhone:
I don't know what the point of this test is, but it's fun to see the different types of vibrators in action.
Feel free to laugh at or derive whatever you want from this test. All I can say is the bigger the phone, the bigger the vibration, with the exception of the iPhone, where the vibrator is practically useless...

Haha, yeah! The E90 is pretty flabby, but gives you the most feel...
Looks flabby, but i find the flabbiest the better you feel it. However too flabby gives you a bad feel of quality of the phone and too solid makes you feel good about the phone but you miss calls way more times than usual.
I'm not sure about how "flabby" those phones are, but two things are true: my n95 8GB is wonderful and flabby enough; after all the thanksgiving feasting, I'm more flabby than any of those devices.

It's unnecessary to apply a screen protector on an N82. The screen is beneath a hard transparent plastic shell, like the front cover on an N93i. Of course if you drop it, it will scratch. But so will any other part of the phone.
Lol at the E90, E51, E61i vibrations! It's like they were abuot to crawl off the table.
