Image processing speed: N82 vs N95-8GB vs N95 vs N73 vs N93

There has been much debate lately over how fast the image processing speeds of the N82 and N95-8GB are. So I decided to do a little unscientific measurement myself with a stopwatch.

The chosen devices are the Nokia N82, N95-8GB, N95 (no firmware upgrade), N73 and N93. The pictures are taken indoors with natural light shining in. Camera settings are set to automatic and no flashes were triggered. I may not have pressed the start/stop button in a truly consistent manner, but you get the general idea.

So despite the inconsistencies of this timing method, the results actually tell an accurate picture of the user experience of these camera phones. The N82 feels similar to the N95-8GB, the N73 is reasonably quick, the N95 is *yawn* and the fastest is still the giant N93.
